Perlan sits on Öskjuhlíð, a forested hill above the city.
Once vast hot‑water tanks, today it’s a glass‑domed landmark where Iceland’s story comes alive: auroras sweep across a planetarium sky, a sparkling ice cave winds through frozen walls, and hands‑on exhibits connect glaciers, volcanoes, oceans, and birds to your senses.
It’s the easy, welcoming way to meet Iceland’s nature in one place..

Áróra Northern Lights in a beautiful dome, a real ice cave you can walk through, interactive exhibits about glaciers and volcanoes, and a 360° deck over Reykjavík.
Immerse yourself in Iceland’s auroras. Áróra blends art, music, and science on a full‑dome canvas — explaining how the lights form, how they move, and what they’ve meant to people for centuries. 🌌
Step into a glittering ice tunnel and learn how glaciers breathe, shrink, and sculpt the land. Feel the chill, hear distant drips, and see layers that store time like pages in a book.
Circle the dome and look out across the bay, mountains, and city roofs. On clear days, the horizon feels endless; in shifting weather, Reykjavík tells its own story.

Choose your Áróra showtime and explore the exhibits at your pace.
Add the ice cave for a complete Wonders of Iceland experience.
